Thank
you
all
Thank you
Without you, none of this.
On 6 September the Koetshuis at the Wippelgem castle estate once again became a place where people found each other. That did not happen by itself.
Thank you to the whole team, at it for half a day before the first plate went out. To the volunteers from Acantha - Femke, Lien, Gauke, Jens, Ness and Georgine - who stepped in wherever they were needed. To our sponsors, who gave prizes and goods without our having to insist. And to everyone who joined us at the table: your participation is what makes all of this possible.
Where it goes
Every euro reaches a good cause.
The proceeds of this edition go to the projects we support this year. As always according to our 50/50 split: one half to direct support, the other to community building and awareness.
Queer Belgian Art 1400-1950, the first exhibition to look at five centuries of art from our regions through an LGBTQ+ lens.
The Ghent society for LGBTQ+ students and their supporters - who also rolled up their sleeves on 6 September.
Independent LGBTQ+ magazine for the Benelux, a project by Len Buggenhout.
What comes next
Queer Belgian Art
1400 - 1950
In spring 2027 the MSK in Ghent opens the exhibition we support with €2,500. We are going to see it together, somewhere during its run.
Keep the date free and let us know you want to come along - we will tell you as soon as it is set.
Our sponsors
They made the raffle.
The prizes were largely donated by our sponsors and supporters, topped up with what STR8FW bought itself. All proceeds from the tickets go to our causes.
A weekend at the Plankeveldmolen holiday house
In the Flemish Ardennes, worth €1,250 - for 6 people, Friday to Sunday in low season.
All included: bed linen, firewood and use of the hot tub.
Not everything went into the raffle.
Some support us simply by delivering.
Aardappelen Spriet has supplied the cooking club with potatoes for years - every time, without our having to ask. Stadius provided the meat for the barbecue, and on top of that donated the main raffle prize and the ham.
See you next year
Welcome back in 2027.
The charity BBQ has run since 2013 and will be back next year, again at the Koetshuis. As soon as the date is set you will find it here and receive a save the date.
Want to do something in the meantime? Drop by the monthly Str8-to-Dinner, or make a donation - it goes straight to our causes.
